Rehoboth VIA brings a little holiday cheer

The Village Improvement Association of Rehoboth Beach held its 18th annual St. Nicholas Tea and Sleigh Boutique Nov. 1-3. In addition to their formal tea, the ladies also sold baskets filled to the brim and items sourced from local vendors. There was even a visit from St. Nicholas himself.
“This is our biggest fundraiser of the year,” said Sherry Wilson, chair of the event. “This is such a fun event. It’s corny to say, because we’re the Village Improvement Association, but it truly takes a village to make this happen. It takes so many women involved in making this a success. We want to raise as much money as possible so that we can continue to give back throughout the year, like we’ve done for the past 115 years.”
The room had a low buzz as the tables conversed amongst themselves.
Tables lined the room with items from VIA members and local vendors.
Homemade baskets were available for sale in the back of the room.
The decoration was on point for the event.
