Vihaan Jagadeesh cruised to victory in the Rehoboth Elementary spelling bee by correctly spelling the word “categorically” in the seventh round.
Classmate Apple Wang’s second-place winning word was “horticulture.” Both students will represent Rehoboth Elementary at the Scripps National Spelling Bee regional finals set for Saturday, March 16, at Sussex Academy.
Fourth- and fifth-grade qualifying students participated in the school spelling bee.
