Rehoboth historical society hosts annual Beach Ball event

Members and friends of the Rehoboth Beach Historical Society & Museum gathered Sept. 7 at Kings Creek Country Club to celebrate the organization’s 19th Annual Beach Ball fundraiser.
The event is the museum’s primary source of funding, and proceeds help pay for operations, payroll and numerous programs exploring all aspects of Rehoboth Beach history. Beach Ball donors, sponsors and ticket buyers helped to raise approximately $50,000 on behalf of the organization.
Attendees enjoyed an optional tequila tasting and great Crossroads Tex-Mex cuisine, browsed more than 100 silent auction offerings, bid on six wonderful live auction items, which included a beautiful Murray Archibald original acrylic painting and an amazing Avalon Waterways river cruise, and danced the night away to the music of Hot Sauce Band.
