Rehoboth man faces weapon, drug charges following traffic stop

A Rehoboth Beach man faces weapon and drug charges following a July 5 traffic stop in Rehoboth Beach.
Police said the man was driving a BMW S5 at 2:18 a.m. in Dewey Beach when he committed traffic violations. After police stopped him near Route 1 and Scarborough Avenue Extended, they found a large fixed-blade knife concealed in the glove compartment. Police said they also found marijuana, suspected promethazine, and drug-packaging paraphernalia in the vehicle.
Police charged Kyle Kilgo, 21, with possession of a deadly weapon by a person prohibited, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, felony possession with intent to deliver, felony possession of a tier one quantity of a controlled substance, and other drug and traffic violations. He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $8,400 secured bond.
