Just in time for the holiday season, the Rehoboth Beach Walmart celebrated an extensive remodeling with a grand reopening Nov. 10.

Store Manager Fred Fuller said it took 12 weeks to complete the project. Store improvements include state-of-the-art electronics department with interactive displays; remodeled pharmacy, with the addition of a consultation room; addition of self-checkouts to save customers time; and two new registers in the garden center.

Fuller said Walmart is committed to being a member of the community. Since opening, he said, the Rehoboth Walmart has donated $7,000 in grants, and $2,700 in small activities.

As part of the celebration, Walmart donated $500 each to Partners for Paws, Cape Henlopen High School’s Cape Chorale and Coastal Concerts Inc.
