Rehoboth welcomes Petco to the neighborhood

April 23, 2014

The Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony April 12 for Petco in Pelican Square near SuperFresh. Members of the chamber’s Meet & Greet Committee were present to welcome Petco to the resort community.

The new Rehoboth Beach Petco store offers local pet parents everyday necessities and a wide variety of high-quality food options, including natural, organic and raw food selections. The store will also host monthly companion animal events, which are complimentary, interactive educational forums for families such as the annual hit, Reptile Rally. Plus, there will be numerous adoption events throughout the year, which will help local rescues find homes for animals in need.

Petco is a leading pet specialty retailer that focuses on nurturing the powerful relationships between people and pets by providing the products, services, advice and experiences that keep pets physically fit, mentally alert, socially engaged and emotionally happy. The Petco Foundation, an independent nonprofit organization, has raised more than $125 million since it was created in 1999 to help promote and improve the welfare of companion animals. In conjunction with the foundation, staff work with and support thousands of local animal welfare groups across the country and, through in-store adoption events, help find homes for more than 350,000 animals every year.

The store is located at 18578 Coastal Highway and can be reached at 302-645-6182.
