Renata Price art exhibition to open at CAMP Rehoboth July 3
CAMP Rehoboth announces artist Renata Price of Rehoboth Beach will be exhibiting her oil paintings at its gallery during the month of July.
The exhibition opens Monday, July 3 and will run through the end of the month. An artist’s reception will be held from 4 to 6 p.m., Saturday, July 22, at 37 Baltimore Ave., Rehoboth Beach.
The Beauty Around Us through Color, Shape and Shadow is Price’s first one-woman show. She will be applying her traditional Old Masters style to a variety of subjects.
Price’s work has been exhibited throughout the area. She trained at the Art League of Alexandria, Va., and has made good use of many training opportunities online. Art has been a lifelong passion for Price who was raised in a home adorned with the works of her artist mother and grandmother.
“CAMP Rehoboth is thrilled to be the venue for Renata’s first solo show” said Leslie Sinclair, CAMP Rehoboth visual arts coordinator. “Her art pays homage to the work of still life artists, while adding her unique perspectives showing life and everyday objects in a new and interesting way.”
Price’s work is detail-oriented, reflecting her background as an engineer. She is also fascinated by complex shadows and reflections which are often a central characteristic of her work. Her goal is for her paintings to be hyper-realistic, reflecting scenes as she thinks they would be in a more perfect world. Price draws inspiration from a variety of sources and does not turn away from any interesting subject.
The CAMP Rehoboth gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Friday. For more information, go to camprehoboth.com.
