Rep. Dave Wilson files for re-election
Rep. Dave Wilson filed June 20 for re-election in the 35th Representative District.
First elected in 2008, Wilson has served four consecutive terms. He previously held the elected posts of Sussex County register of wills and register of chancery.
Wilson is the operator of two Lincoln-area businesses – Wilson's Auction and the breeding of Haflinger horses. Both operations are located on U.S. 113 in the Lincoln area.
Wilson has one Republican challenger – Robert D. Mitchell of Greenwood, who filed May 26. No Democrats have filed.
The 35th Representative District covers the northwest corner of Sussex County and includes Bridgeville, Greenwood and Ellendale.
The filing deadline to run for office in the statewide primary is noon, Tuesday, July 12. The deadline to register to vote is Saturday, Aug. 20.
