Rob Zinn Quintet to bring jazz to Milton Theatre March 17
Milton Theatre will present the Rob Zinn Quintet at 8 p.m., Friday, March 17. The group will have audience members grooving to an infusion of funk, Latin, R&B and pop woven around a smooth melody of jazz. National jazz recording artist and composer Rob Zinn is a Delaware native. This Delaware-based jazz group features Zinn on trumpet, flugelhorn and vocals; Tom Palmer on piano; Sam Nobles on bass; Wes Morton on drums; and Kevin Lyons on sax and vocals. Formed in fall 2014, the group has performed at the Clifford Brown Jazz Festival as well as venues throughout and beyond Delaware.
Their debut album "Yesterday Again," released in September 2016, features national recording artists Andrew Neu on sax, Gerald Veasley on bass, Lawrence Young on vocals and Rafael Padilla on percussion. Since mid-January, songs from the album have become fixtures on over 60 smooth jazz radio stations around the world. Tickets are sold at $25 to $15.
