Robert 'Bob' Castle Jr., repaired lawn mowers

Robert "Bob" L. Castle Jr., 76, of Bridgeville, passed away peacefully at his home Friday, May 15, 2015. He was diagnosed with cancer a short time before his death. Bob was born in Baltimore, Md., Friday, May 20, 1938, son of the late Robert L. and Barbara (Beard) Castle.

Bob graduated from Glen Burnie High School in Glen Burnie, Md. He proudly served four years in the U.S. Air Force where he received his pilot’s license and flew privately. He worked and retired from United Airlines and later started his own business repairing lawn mowers in Pasadena, Md.

In 2003, Bob and his family moved to Bridgeville, where he re-opened his business, Chelsea Lawn Mower. Bob loved his work, family, friends, neighbors and customers.

Bob is survived by his wife, Ann Castle; a daughter, Robin Castle; a grandson, Ethan Castle all of Bridgeville; a sister-in-law, Maxine Martin of Galax, Va.; a nephew, Charles Martin and his wife Nancy of Wilkesboro, N.C.; a niece, Sharon Alexander and her husband Rodney of Hillsville, Va.; and a nephew, Terry Martin and his wife Sukie of Columbia, S.C.

The family wishes to thank Delaware Hospice, Dr. Romano and Dr. Mackler for their compassion and professionalism. The family also wishes to thank their neighbors, friends and church members for all their prayers, visits, compassion and their diligence.

All services are private. Arrangements by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Hardesty Chapel, Bridgeville.
