Robert Daugherty named executive chef at Peninsula Golf and Country Club

The Peninsula Golf & Country Club and Troon announced that Robert Daugherty has been named as the new executive chef at their private club and community located along Indian River Bay and Lingo Creek in Long Neck. Daugherty's food and beverage career spans more than 27 years and includes positions at top hotels and resorts throughout the Northeast.

Prior to arriving at The Peninsula, Daugherty was the executive chef at the AAA Four Diamond Hyatt Regency Hotel in Cambridge, Mass. While in Cambridge, Daugherty also served as an adjunct professor at Boston University's School of Hospitality from 2007-13. From 1994 through 2006, he was the executive chef at the Hyatt Regency Hotel and Spa in Newport, R.I., where he was named Chef of the Year multiple times. Daugherty attended the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y., and has furthered his culinary and professional education through the Dale Carnegie Management Training program and American Culinary Federation Apprenticeship Training.
