Robert Higgins, enjoyed beach life
Robert Higgins, 81, of Lewes, passed away peacefully with his wife and family by his side Sunday, May 26, 2024, at Beebe Healthcare.
Bob is survived by his wife of 30 years, Margaret; daughter Stephanie Higgins; son Christopher Higgins; stepdaughter Dana Harry (Heath); sister Sally Schuyler (Jim); and grandchildren Giorgia, Christian, Aiden, Blake and Beck. Bob was also part of a large extended family and will be deeply missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Viola Higgins (Smith).
Bob grew up in Wilmington and retired from Delmarva Power after 36 years. He and Margaret enjoyed life at the beach. Bob was a ski instructor, avid golfer, gardener and cook, and loved spending time with friends and family.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, June 5, at Parsell Funeral Homes, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, where friends and family are welcome from 2 to 3 p.m.
