Robert L. Coulbourne Jr., had infectious smile
Robert “Robb” L. Coulbourne Jr., 47, of Milton, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2023, from injuries he sustained in an automobile accident.
Robb was born Oct. 25, 1975, in Lewes, son of Robert L. “Bob” Sr., and Bonnie (Chorman) Coulbourne.
Robb graduated from Cape Henlopen High School in 1994 and was the owner of RLC Construction. He was an active member of Endeavor Lodge No. 17 and regularly attended Eagle’s Nest Church in Milton.
Robb’s smile was infectious, and he never met a stranger. He loved to fish and hunt, and would always lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Above all else, he loved spending time with his sons, Zane and Finnegan.
Robb was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents John and Grace Coulbourne; as well as his maternal grandparents David and Eldora Chorman.
In addition to his parents, Robb is survived by his children, Zane and Finnegan Coulbourne, both of Lewes, and Katie Moore of Georgetown, and their mother, Joy Bitter; his fiancée, Diane Forrester and her daughter Sara “Peanut”; his aunts and uncles, Allen Chorman (Mary Ann), Ronnie Chorman (Janice), Wayne Chorman (Janet), Dennis Chorman (Debbie), Gary Coulbourne (Catherine), James Coulbourne (Peggy), Bill Coulbourne (Peggy) and Susan Goins (Bill); a host of cousins; and many, many friends whom he considered family.
A visitation will be held from 12 to 2 p.m., Saturday, April 15, at Eagle’s Nest Fellowship Church, 26633 Zion Church Road, Milton. A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Immediately following the memorial service, a reception will be held for family and friends at Milton Fire Department, 116 Front St., Milton.
In lieu of flowers, a trust account is being established for the benefit of Zane and Finnegan. At this time, contributions can be made payable to Bonnie Coulbourne, and mailed to 29039 Stockley Road, Milton, DE 19968. Write FBO Zane and Finnegan in the memo line.
