Robert Paul Comeau, had many interests, hobbies
Robert Paul Comeau, 76, of Milton, passed away at home surrounded by family Thursday, Feb. 9, 2023, following a nine-year battle with frontotemporal dementia. He was born Aug. 30, 1946, in Somerville, Mass., son of the late Paul and Albina (Vezina) Comeau.
Robert was a graduate of Somerville High School Class of 1964. He married the love of his life, Meg (Crist) Comeau, June 30, 1984, in Winchester, Mass., and they shared 38 beautiful years together. In 1987, they welcomed their daughter Sarah. Nothing in the world gave Robert more joy than being Sarah’s dad and they were devoted to each other. Robert enjoyed a long career as a department manager at United Electric Controls Co. in Watertown, Mass., retiring after 40 dedicated years.
He had many interests and hobbies, including photography and playing tennis. Robert could often be found watching baseball and rooting for his favorite team, the Boston Red Sox. He loved walking on the beach in Rockport with Meg and Sarah, where they lived for several years. More than anything, Robert treasured the time spent with those he held most dear. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father, brother, and friend. Loved by many, he will be forever missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Meg Comeau of Milton; his daughter, Sarah; his sisters: Ellen Bowman of Pelham, N.H., and Jean Farraher (George) of Ocala, Fla.; his sister-in-law, Jackie May (Keith) of Camden/Wyoming; and many loving nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 25, at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 200 Second St., Lewes. A reception will follow at the parish hall, to which all are invited.
Final care for Robert has been entrusted to Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.
