Route 1-Broadkill River bridge project on track
Phase 2 work expected to be done by the end of March

Even with snow and cold weather so far this winter, work on replacement of the Route 1-Broadkill River bridges between Lewes and Milton is expected to be completed by the end of March. The $16 million project has moved to Phase 2 and the southbound bridge following completion of the northbound bridge earlier this month.
Crews recently completed the northbound bridge, right, and have begun removing the southbound bridge.
The project will continue until the end of March.
