Royals scrimmage Polytech at play day

November 28, 2022

The Delmarva Christian boys’ basketball team took part in the Polytech play day Nov. 26 at the Panthers’ Woodside campus gymnasium. They played the Delaware Military Academy squad first, then Saint Mark’s and Polytech.

Lost to graduation are Brayden Stonebraker, Lou Fleurima, Gavin Catron, Riley Briggs and Jeremiah Hannah. The Royals’ only senior this season is Carter Breasure.

A new look on the bench this year is head coach Marc Hannah, who replaces Micah Twedell.

“I think we’ll compete this year,” said Hannah. “The Salisbury School will be tough in the ESIAC. We have a tough nonconference schedule, but I think we’ll compete.”

Schools on the Royals’ schedule include Charter of Wilmington, Sussex Central, Lake Forest, Saint Mark’s and Newark Charter.

The Royals open the season Tuesday, Dec. 6, at home against The Gunston School.
