Russell Eugene McCann, cherished family, friends
Russell Eugene McCann, 71, of Ellendale, passed away peacefully at home Wednesday, June 14, 2023.
Russell worked for many years as a painter and subcontractor. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his friends at the Broadkill VFW Post 6984 and Moose Lodge Post 646.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wilford R. McCann; stepfather, John “Jack” Wilson; brother, Terry R. McCann Sr.; sister, Sally S. Glazier (wife of Bob); nephew, Terry R. “TJ” McCann Jr. (husband of Kelly) and sister-in-law, Karen McCann.
He is survived by his mother, Anna Pauline (Yost) Wilson; a sister, Anna “Cathy” Nasino and husband Duke; caretakers, Randi Riggs and Angela Price; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
There are no formal ceremonies scheduled at this time.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memorial contributions to Compassionate Care Hospice, Mom’s Meals, CHEER in Milton, Diabetes Myelitis Foundation, or the Lung Association.
