Samuel Norris Dickerson, dedicated cyclist

Samuel N. Dickerson of Annapolis, Md., formerly of Baltimore, Md., and Parkton, Md., passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2024. He was born May 30, 1949.

Sam attended St. Dominic’s Elementary School, Calvert Hall High School and Northern High School. He received his bachelor’s degree from Notre Dame University of Maryland and pursued a career in information technology with AT&T Telecommunications, providing user support.

He was a dedicated cyclist, biking to work for years from Parkton in northern Baltimore County to downtown Baltimore City. In retirement, Sam was a voracious nonfiction reader and a fan of old black-and-white movies. Sam always looked forward to his motorcycle rides in spring and fall.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel N. and Ruth M. Dickerson; his half-brother, Charles F. Mansur and his wife Darlene Mansur of Annapolis, Md. He will be greatly missed by his sister, Ruth Dickerson and her wife Kathy Davison of Lewes.

Interment will be private.
