The National Association of Home Builders announced the winners of its Best in Green Awards at the International Builders Show held in Las Vegas Jan. 20. Schell Brothers’ Kingfisher Model at Parkside in Middletown was the winner of the 2015 Best in Green Single-Family Production Home Award.
The Best in Green Awards are chosen from submissions collected through the National Sales and Marketing Council, sponsored by the NAHB. To be selected as a winner for a BIG Award, the home must be a finalist or winner in one of the NAHB Award programs. The Kingfisher at Parkside was a finalist at The Nationals, automatically qualifying it for the Best in Green Award.
“In May of last year, The Kingfisher at Parkside was also the recipient of the Best Green Built Home Award given by The Home Builders Association of Delaware, so the fact that it’s received this honor twice, both locally and now nationally, is an incredible honor for us,” said Chris Schell, CEO of Schell Brothers. “The high-performance technologies that are included in all of our homes is something that our team takes great pride in.”
Each Schell home is built with Schellter Advanced Building Science technologies, which comprises three components: 4-Tress, Enerwize and Sanctuair. This high-performance technology provides an extremely energy-efficient house that eliminates health risks associated with homes, and provides unparalleled durability, longevity, strength and quality.
“We are always innovating and looking for additional ways and new technologies to make Schellter better in our homes, and better for our customer’s overall health,” said Carmen Marinelli, vice president of construction at Schell Brothers. “Receiving this national award is validation that we truly do build one of the best homes in the country.”
In addition to the Best in Green Award, Schell Brothers also received Silver National Awards for Sales Person of the Year, Sales Team of the Year, It’s Okay to Love Your Home TV commercial, and Best Architectural Design of a Single-Family Detached Home Priced between $500K and $750K for The Sanibel at The Peninsula.
