Schell Brothers plan three-story building

Cape Region builders Schell Brothers is growing. The company recently added a new, affordably priced home brand called Kincade, which will be available in developments such as The Ridings at Rehoboth, Wagamon West Shores in Milton and the Woodlands of Pepper's Creek.

Chris Schell said a new three-story building going up just north of Big Fish Grill on Route 1 outside Rehoboth Beach to house the company's office personnel.

The basement will feature a company gym as well as storage. The first floor will open from the lobby into a large design center, while upper floors will hold the conference room and offices.

"This new building will house all of our Schell Brothers companies including Clean Energy USA, Echelon Custom Homes, Echelon Interiors, Schell Brothers and Renew," Schell said. "It's too hard to manage everyone when they are all over the place, and we needed a larger design center."

Schell said the new building will give the company room to grow, which is good now that they will be adding Kincade to the group.

"We are hoping to complete the building by the end of the year," Schell said.

Once the building is finished, the current Echelon building will be razed to make way for a larger parking lot.
