Schellville looked like a scene from “A Nightmare Before Christmas” Oct. 27, as the cheery, wintry-themed village transformed into a scary, eerie scene for the Spooktacular Kids Zone.
Families, many decked out for Halloween, took the opportunity to trick or treat at several stations throughout the village. Also available was the kids’ play area, sledding hill and roller skating rink. While the Schellville Express was carrying passengers in Rehoboth Beach as part of Sea Witch, the concrete track was open for kids to ride scooters and tricycles. Food trucks, the artisan market and a few bars were also open for the event.
The Schellville Enchanted Winter Celebration will return Saturday, Nov. 18 and runs through New Year’s Eve.
