SeaScape Property Management and Nichols family win BBB award
The Better Business Bureau of Delaware announced the winner of the 2021 Edward M. Rush Sr. Memorial Award Oct. 7.
This year, the award for a family-owned and -operated business went to SeaScape Property Management and the Nichols family.
SeaScape is a third-generation, family-owned business comprising hardworking self-starters. Located in Lewes, the company is going on its 17th year in business, and retention rates can be tied directly to its customer-centric mind-set. Company leaders tailor their practices to the communication needs of their customers, and as they see customer growth, their strategy evolves to adapt. Because the foundation of the company is built on their family values, their processes and procedures are proactive and engaging.
Started in 2002 by Barry Nichols, this year’s Rush Award winner is a property management company that treats clients the way they treat family. Sons of Barry and current owners, Chris and Doug Nichols, often pride themselves on being the first to know when it comes to customers and residents. With this in mind, they become a trusted part of the community.
SeaScape Property Management embodies the spirit of small-town living – relying on responsible local talent who care about the needs of their neighbors. By setting the bar high regarding trust, availability and fairness, they provide clients with a unique property management experience.
This award was established in 1993 by the family of Edward M. Rush Sr. in honor of the high standards he set for family-owned businesses. In 1963, Rush established Rush Uniform and built a legacy of family involvement in the business. During his life, he was a leader in business, civic, political and religious organizations.
The award is given annually to an outstanding family-owned and -operated Better Business Bureau Accredited Business that exemplifies the ideals of community and civic service. Edward M. "Mike" Rush Jr. passed away in 2020.
