Seaside Pointe residents enjoy art outing, learn about lighthouses

June 6, 2024

As part of an ongoing Artist Appreciation series, Brandywine Living at Seaside Pointe recently featured works by resident Robert “Bob” Schnepfe.

To view his artworks on display, Schnepfe and other Brandywine Seaside Pointe folks traveled to the Bookhammer Outpatient Center on the Abessinio Health Campus at 18947 John J. Williams Hwy., part of Beebe Healthcare’s complex north of Rehoboth Beach.

The images hung there were originally painted by Schnepfe for his booklet, “Sussex County Delaware Lighthouses,” published in 2015. The 10 local beacons range from icons like the Cape Henlopen and Harbor of Refuge lights to lesser-known ones such as the Greenhill Rear Range Light and the Mispillion Lighthouse.

Participants were able to discuss the art, peruse the book, share stories and enjoy a pleasant outing.
