Shirley Ann Fort, longtime Tupperware dealer
Shirley Ann Fort (née Bryan), 89, passed away peacefully Friday, April 19, 2024, at her home in Midwest City, Okla. She was born in Milford Aug. 27, 1934, second daughter of nine children to the late George and Elma (Spicer) Bryan.
Shirley was a Tupperware dealer for over 30 years, rising to the level of manager. She was a member of the Improved Order of Red Men Indian River Tribe 37 and a past Great Pocahontas. She was loved by all who met her and will be forever missed by her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Korean War veteran John “Ted” Theodore Fort, in 2019; her son, “Jimmy” James Fort, in 2017; and her siblings “Betty” Elizabeth Dunn, Janet Lindsey, Ronald Bryan and Richard Bryan. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Jay Fort (Irma) of Oklahoma City, Okla., Geri Cahill (Kevin) of Choctaw, Okla., Joyce Fort of Washington, Md., and Kenny Fort of Wells Tannery, Pa.; her daughter-in-law, Karen Fort of Millsboro; her grandchildren, Christian, Jeremy and Sean Cahill, Ami Hughes, and Erik, Teddy and Tiffany Fort; her nine great-grandchildren; her sisters, Marlyn Mitchell, Gwen Leppo and Yvonne Martz; and her brother, Gordon Bryan.
Chapel Committal services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, May 24, at Delaware Veterans Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro.
