Shirley Taylor Goodwin, had passion for gardening

Shirley Taylor Goodwin, 94, of Rehoboth Beach passed away Friday, March 19, 2021, at her residence in Rehoboth Beach. She was born Jan. 19, 1927, in Essington, Pa., daughter of the late Omar and Elizabeth (Frazier) Taylor.

Mrs. Goodwin had a passion for gardening and "running her house." She loved her precious kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. She also enjoyed going to the beach. 

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Goodwin was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 68 years, John (Jack) Goodwin; her sisters: Mina DeClerque and Kate Jenkins; and her brother, Russell Taylor. She is survived by her sons: Christopher Goodwin of Rehoboth Beach, Glenn Goodwin (Susan) of Folsom, Pa., and Timothy Goodwin of Secane, Pa.; her granddaughters: Holly Falkowski of Holmes, Pa., Natalie Tierney of Waverly Twp., Pa., and Olivia Goodwin of Philadelphia, Pa.; her grandsons: Justin Goodwin of West Chester, Pa., and Seth Goodwin of Secane; her great-granddaughters: Ella Goodwin of West Chester, Lily Goodwin of West Chester, Tess Goodwin of West Chester and Alexandra Tierney of Waverly Twp.; and her great-grandson, Jack Tierney of Waverly Twp.   

All services will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.
