Signs identifying town cameras in Dewey Beach have been installed on Coastal Highway, at the gazebo on Van Dyke Avenue and around the Lions Club parking lot.
Town Manager Bill Zolper first announced plans for signs during a March commissioners meeting.
Cameras capture video that can be used as evidence and as a deterrent, Zolper said at the time. Cameras can help improve public behavior, reduce littering and deter people from putting household trash into town trash cans, he said.
