Solid Ground Church volunteers at Food Bank Delaware

Solid Ground Church members volunteered at the Food Bank of Delaware in Milford to help with the Summer Food Packing Program. They helped earlier this summer by sorting food to be distributed to local food banks. “It is really enjoyable to volunteer at the Food Bank; it’s only for a few hours and you leave feeling like you’ve really accomplished some tasks to help them continue supporting Sussex County,” said Katie Miller.

They sorted through fresh produce to be distributed in a special monthly senior citizen pickup that happened later that day. Solid Ground Church loves finding opportunities to serve the community, and helping the Food Bank provide food for people seemed like a great place to assist.
