Special Olympics Delaware hosted its annual Ride to the Tide April 16, when 818 motorcyclists and 331 passengers rode from Rommel Harley-Davidson in Smyrna to Love Creek Elementary School on Route 24.
Ride to the Tide, a police-escorted motorcycle ride, inspires motorcyclists and their passengers from around the region to come together and support athletes while doing something they love to do – ride their bikes.
Riders from the tri-state area raised funds for Special Olympics Delaware. The 2023 Ride to the Tide raised more than $49,000. In its 15-year history, the event has raised more than $479,000.
