St. Edmond observes the Miracle of Fatima
About two dozen representatives from St. Edmond Catholic Church in Rehoboth Beach observed the 104th anniversary of the Miracle of Fatima with recitation of the Rosary. The Oct. 16 event was organized by Joan Borohawn and Virginia Pocock. Each member of the group recited 10 Hail Marys.
The Miracle of the Sun, also known as the Miracle of Fatima, was an event that occurred on Oct. 13, 1917, and was attended by a large crowd that had gathered in Fátima, Portugal, in response to a prophecy made by three shepherd children. The prophecy was that the Virgin Mary would appear and perform miracles on that day.
