Stella Marie Klein, had a zest for life

Stella Marie Klein, 86, passed away peacefully Friday, June 7, 2024, in Milford. She was born Sept. 10, 1937, in Baltimore, Md., beloved daughter of the late William L. and Stella (Smith) Muir.

Stella had a zest for life, enjoying cruises, crossword puzzles, and reading. She cherished her time at the Indian River Yacht Club, where she formed many lasting friendships.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents; her devoted husband, Robert Merle Klein; her sisters, Elaine Bauer and Patsy Muir; and her brother, William Muir III.

Stella is survived by her five children, Michele Krichinsky (Keith), Denise Hammen, Valorie Kordonski (Tom), Scott Klein (Cassie) and Lynne Hammen. She was a proud grandmother to 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.

A Celebration of Life will be held from noon to 3 p.m., Friday, July 12, at Indian River Yacht Club, 31398 River Road, Millsboro.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
