Steven Mark Williamson, loving husband, father
Steven Mark Williamson, 64, of Milton, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Kent General Hospital. Steven became sick from a rare form of encephalitis June 30, 2004, and wasn’t expected to live. He lived for another 19 years and fought valiantly against numerous ailments to be here with his family all that time.
Steven was born Sept. 30, 1958, in Philadelphia, Pa., to the late Charles Thomas Williamson II and his beloved mother Dolores M. Williamson.
He worked as a carpenter and as a chef in a number of beloved restaurants including the Renegade, Mulberry Street Cafe and Kupchick’s for many years. Steven went to Bennington University in Vermont and received a degree in fine arts, where his specialty was sculpture. His passion after he got sick was playing cards with anyone who would say yes, his favorites were blackjack and five-card poker.
But best of all, Steven was a loving husband and the best dad ever. Even with his brain damage, he never forgot his three girls, or that they were his favorite people, Pam, Hannah and Maggie. Till the very end of his life, he lit up when around them.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Williamson.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Pamela Salisbury of Milton; daughters, Johannah Williamson Webb and son-in-law Scott of Lincoln, and Margaret Williamson of Lewes; brother, Charles Thomas Williamson III of Baltimore, Md.; and his grandson, Theodore Steven Webb of Lincoln, who should be arriving any day now.
Services will be held at a later date.
Have a Rolling Rock, sing the Eagles fight song, or play a game of cards with your loved ones to honor him till then.
