Susan M. Maclary, fun-loving, generous soul

Susan M. Maclary, 80, passed away Sunday, Feb. 16, 2025, after a long illness. She was born March 16, 1944.

She is survived by her nephew, Michael Cunningham; her niece, Kathleen Dooner; her great-nephews, Colin and Graham; and her stepson, Greg Cannon. She is predeceased by her sister, Lynn Cunningham; and her partner of 36 years, Brian Cannon.

She worked in banking for many years and at Rehoboth Visitors Center.

Susan was generous and fun-loving. She enjoyed travel, music, hosting a party, and connecting with people. She also had a special place in her heart for her pets and all animals.

She will be missed by her many longtime friends, including Gloria, Sheila, and Petra, and her Rehoboth Beach community of friends and neighbors. She is remembered for her mantra greeting, " Peace, love, and harmony; tolerance, compassion, and respect," and she embodied these traits to all whom she loved.

A Celebration of Susan’s Life will be held at a later date.
