Sussex County Association of Realtors holds annual banquet

December 31, 2022

The Sussex County Association of Realtors hosted its annual installation and awards luncheon banquet Dec. 13, in the association’s spacious event rooms at 23407 Park Ave. in Georgetown.

The event marks the transition of leadership from the previous SCAOR president to the next, announcement of the SCAOR 2022 award winners, and installation of new board members and committee chairs for 2023.

Headed by 2022 SCAOR President George Thomasson, the event was a well-attended, lively gathering for members of SCAOR and its affiliates. This year’s theme, as chosen by incoming 2023 President Allison Stine, was pop art, which allowed the opportunity to include splashes of bright colors, stylized AI-generated portraits of past SCAOR presidents, and selfie props throughout the ample gathering space accented with festive winter holiday-themed centerpieces at each table. Close to 100 attendees enjoyed the afternoon official gathering and the delicious luncheon prepared by Touch of Italy restaurant.

The Sussex County Association of Realtors 2023 board of directors members sworn in during the ceremony are President Allison Stine, President-Elect Adriane Gallagher, First Vice President Bill Davis, Second Vice President Trina Joyner, Treasurer Patty Halliburton, Assistant Treasurer Steve Alexander, Immediate Past President George Thomasson, three-year director Chris Lind, three-year director Jack Redefer, two-year director Mary Dayton, one-year director José Quiñones and one-year director Lewis Briggs II.

Also included in the ceremony was the announcement of the 2022 SCAOR award winners. Congratulations go to President’s Award winner Chrissy Steele, Good Neighbor Award winner Rob Wolhar, Rookie of the Year Award winner Taylor Tallarico, Educator of the Year Award winner Bruce Plummer, Affiliate of the Year Award winner the Law Offices of Scott and Shuman PA, Alma Ashley Award winner Betsey Parrett, Realtor of the Year Award winner Dr. Susan Giove, and Lifetime Achievement Award winner Shirley Kalvinsky.
