Sussex County Stamp Club Annual Stamp Show set May 2

The Sussex County Stamp club will hold its annual stamp show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, May 2, at the Milton Fire Hall, 116 Front St. Admission is free and refreshments will be available.

Hourly door prizes will be given away starting at noon, which have been donated by local merchants. There will also be an entire album collection set raffled off with pages (stamps not included) courtesy of the Mystic Stamp Co. of Camden, N.Y. The winner must be present to win.

New this year a bid board will be included, allowing collectors to bid on stamps up for bid. All those bidding must receive a bid number prior to placing bids. Free stamps and catalogs will be available for kids while supplies last from Kenmore and Mystic Stamp Company.

Our theme this year is honoring 35th President John F. Kennedy with a special cancellation from the post office designed by a member of the club. Also there is a special cancel for the town of Milton, which features the Milton Historical Society logo. These cancels will be available for 90 days at the Milton Post Office and debut May 2. After 90 days these cancels will be destroyed and will not be available again.

There will be 10 top stamp dealers by special invitation, some of those to be present are Dutch Country Auction, Clarks Stamps from Wilmington, Ryan Terlecky “10 stamps” from Pennsylvania; also vendors from Maryland are K2 Collectibles, RWR stamps, and from Rehoboth Beach, John Chaite will be on hand. Special guest DJ “Jerry B” Beaven of A.W.E. (Awesome Wedding Entertainment) will be on hand to ensure an enjoyable event. Uncle Hals Hot Dogs will be on sale to supply refreshments.
