Sussex Republican women hold scholarship luncheon fundraiser

With the holiday season getting underway, the Sussex County Republican Women’s Club held its annual Christmas luncheon Dec. 11 at Mulligan’s Pointe Golf Club in Georgetown.
Attendees enthusiastically bid on a myriad of silent auction items donated by members. Proceeds will go to the Lillian Martin Scholarship Fund. Named for the founder of SCRWC, the scholarships will be awarded in the spring.
Scholarship committee members select recipients who are young women graduating from Sussex County high schools this year. Last year, the club awarded four scholarships. Interested female students may contact their school’s guidance office for more information.
