The Republicans for Sussex County held their Annual Big Tent event July 11 under the pavilion at American Legion Post 28 in Millsboro. The event was a fundraiser for the Republicans for Sussex County PAC. The funds will be distributed to state and local candidates.
Attendees enjoyed hamburgers, hot dogs, baked beans, chips, and macaroni salad, with ice cream for dessert. Door prizes were given, and a live auction called by Sen. Dave Wilson, R-Bridgeville, raised over $1,000.
“It was a nice day for a picnic, with a great turnout,” said Republicans for Sussex County Chair Ron Sams. “Everyone enjoyed the burgers, ice cream and fellowship.”
“Summer brings together friends during the relaxation of executive orders,” said Rep. Steve Smyk, R-Milton.
