Sussex Tech Adult Ed holds graduation for Health Professions

June 1, 2016

Sussex Tech Adult Education Division recognized 19 graduates April 27 with certificates of completion in three different Health Professions curriculums. Many of the graduates have taken their National Certification Exam. Upon passing the National Certification Exam, they will be qualified to work anywhere in the United States.  The three curriculums are Clinical Medical Assistant Certification, Medical Billing and Coding Specialist and Pharmacy Technician.

The Clinical Medical Assistant Certification prepares students to assist physicians by performing functions related to the clinical aspect of the medical office. The Medical Billing and Coding Specialist prepares graduates for proper assignment of codes to the medical procedures in order to file claims to the insurance company for reimbursement. The Pharmacy Technician works under the supervision of a registered pharmacist in hospitals, community pharmacies and other healthcare settings.
