The Sussex Tech Apprenticeship Division in Georgetown held its annual apprenticeship training awards ceremony April 5.
In all, 49 students were honored at this ceremony for completing their four-year apprenticeship training program, with 10 of them earning their journeyperson’s papers. In an era when skilled tradespeople are in high demand, these students are earning the most sought-after, industry-recognized skilled trades credential, the Journeyperson Certificate.
Apprenticeship classes at Sussex Tech Adult Division include the following trades: auto tech, carpentry, electrical, heating/ventilation/air conditioning/refrigeration, marine mechanics, plumbing and welding.
Some 300 students are advancing into the next year of apprenticeship training. These students are securing a brighter future by developing their skills through Sussex Tech’s apprenticeship training program.
