ThanksLiving vegetarian feast to be held at a(MUSE.) restaurant Nov. 18
ThanksLiving, the yearly gathering and feast that is VegRehoboth’s unique celebration of plant-based living, will be held at a(MUSE.) restaurant, Sunday, Nov. 18.
VegRehoboth organizers are proud to announce that Dr. Will Tuttle will be speaking at 5 p.m. at CAMP Rehoboth as part of the celebration. Tuttle is the author of “The World Peace Diet,” the groundbreaking book on compassionate living and eating which has been translated into 16 languages. The book has revolutionized the world view of plant-based living. He writes of founding a new society based on the truth of the interconnectedness of all life, which suggests that the mass production of animals and humans’ treatment of them drives much of the world’s illnesses and diseases. He is an eloquent speaker who draws from his personal journey as a former Zen monk and a PhD in education.
Seating for dinner is available before and after his presentation. Tickets are $35 for adults and $10 for children.
To purchase tickets, go to www.VegRehoboth.org or visit Good Earth Market in Rehoboth Beach.
ThanksLiving is a cherished yearly tradition in Rehoboth that was developed six years ago as an alternative to a traditional Thanksgiving Day meal. Hand-picked chefs from area restaurants have generously contributed dishes again this year, making each feast a visual and culinary treat. Chef Hari Cameron of a(MUSE.) and grandpa (MAC) has participated in ThanksLiving every year. This year’s restaurant contributors also include Indigo, G Rehoboth, Fork & Flask at Nage, Taco Reho, Crooked Hammock and Cuvée Ray.
Proceeds from ThanksLiving will benefit the health and wellness programs of CAMP Rehoboth and Rehoboth Beach VegFest 2019.
Donations for the raffle and silent auction will be graciously accepted.
For ongoing events throughout the year, VegRehoboth can be found on Facebook and MeetUp.
