Theodore John Andrew, devoted husband, father

Theodore “Ted” John Andrew of Lewes died peacefully Monday, Dec. 9, 2024. Within his final weeks, he was surrounded by love and support not only from his family, but also from his doctors, nurses, and caretakers. Ted was always quick with a joke or humming a tune. Showing his sharp, sparking blue eyes and a handsome smile, Ted was happiest when he was around his loving wife Diane, his three children, and his five grandchildren. Despite recently turning 81, Ted never missed a day of work. His strength, dedication, and perseverance prevailed through to the end of his life. Ted’s greatest love and dedication was to his beautiful and equally devoted best friend and wife, Diane, who affectionately called him Teddy. Their love was a true match that anyone would be blessed to have. Together, they created a beautiful life full of love and laughter for over 59 years. 

Ted is predeceased by his grandson, Ryan Michael Andrew; his sister, Dolores “Dee” Jean Moore; and parents, John Edward Andrew and Hedwig Josephine “Jean” Andrew.

Ted will be forever loved and missed by his wife, Diane; his son, Michael Andrew and Kerry Carofano; his son, Timothy Andrew and wife Alison Houck Andrew, and their three children Ashlyn and Ryan Andrew, and Eddie Houck; and his daughter, Danielle Crouthamel and her husband Allen Crouthamel, and their two children Riley and Logan Crouthamel.

Ted’s family will be celebrating his life with a private ceremony at a later date.
