Thier is leader Rehoboth needs and deserves

July 23, 2024

I’ve known Craig Thier for over 42 years and can tell the residents of Rehoboth Beach that they couldn’t have a better person running for city commissioner. While Craig was a very successful businessman – running his own firm for over 15 years advising businesses large and small on how to improve their financial planning, forecasting and accounting processes – his real contributions have been to the communities he has lived in. During the 25-plus years Craig lived in New Jersey, he served on the Chesterfield, N.J., school board, including five years as president. In the 23-plus years he has had a home in Rehoboth Beach, with the last three-and-a-half years as a full-time resident, he has served on the boardwalk and beach committee (three-plus years) and volunteered for numerous local civic organizations, including Special Olympics Delaware and the Save Our Lakes Alliance 3.

On the surface, Craig’s strengths are in his knowledge of finance, budgets and the many challenges that businesses and communities face when trying to balance multiple priorities. As you get to know him, you will find that his real strengths are in his personality and character. Craig gets deeply engrained and committed to whatever he puts his attention to. His calm demeanor, focus on what is best for the community, and ability to listen and work with all parties allows him to be an effective and decisive leader. Finally, you will find Craig has the highest levels of integrity and transparency.

I’m proud to consider Craig Thier a friend and know that he will have a positive impact on Rehoboth Beach. Please support Craig Thier for commissioner.
