Thomas E. Warnock, retired electrician
Thomas E. Warnock of Milford passed away Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, at home surrounded by his loving family.
Tommy was born Dec. 7, 1949, in Milford to the late Stella and Robert Warnock.
Tommy graduated from Milford High in 1967. He served in the Army Reserves in 1968. In 1972, Tommy began his career as an electrician with the Local Union 313. He worked in the Local 313 for 37 years until his retirement. Tommy was a member of the Masonic Temple Lodge 9.
Tommy thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved to play golf. His hole in one at hole 10 at Shawnee Country Club will be remembered by those who played with him. Tommy was an avid sportsman. He enjoyed competitive skeet, sporting clays and hunting. He also loved the game of baseball. Tommy was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, coach and friend. Everyone will always remember Tommy for his great smile and the tremendous man he was, and still is, to all he touched.
Tommy is survived by his loving wife, Jeannie, of 43 years; two sons, Brian Thomas Warnock and his wife Michele of Milford, and Travis Scott Warnock and his wife Jennifer of Milford; a granddaughter, Juliana Taylor Warnock of Milford; two brothers, David Lee Warnock and his wife Carole of Milford and Robert Warnock of Virginia; two brothers-in-law, Tommy Bell and his wife Ellen of Greenwood and Elmer Briggs of Georgetown; a niece, Dianne Varanko and her husband Matt of Milford; two nephews, Charles Briggs of Florida, and Mark Briggs and his wife Rachel of Georgetown; Walter Mills and his wife Roxie of Massachusetts; and an extended family of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, Aug. 27, in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St. Milford, where friends may call after 11 a.m. Interment will be private.
