Thomas M. Ray, avid outdoorsman

Thomas M. Ray, 52, of Bridgeville, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2016, at his home. He was born in Seaford, Sept. 21, 1963, son of Violet (Dennis) Ray and the late John F. Ray.

Mr. Ray was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and farming. He also enjoyed playing pool with his friends, riding his four wheeler and especially going to a shooting range to fire some rounds. Mr. Ray was active in many organizations including the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 646, American Poolplayers Association, 4-H Youth Organization and the National FFA Organization.

Mr. Ray will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and a dear friend by all who knew him.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Ray is survived by his loving wife of eight years, with whom he was together for over 15 years, Donna M. Ray; three sons: Johnny Ray and his wife Lauren of Bridgeville, Ricky Justice and his wife Angela of Salisbury, Md., and Dennis Mason of Bridgeville; three daughters: Joanna Ray of Bridgeville, Jessica Armistead and her husband Adam of Delmar, Md., and Chassitty DeBord and her husband, Mike of Delmar; 12 grandchildren; two sisters: Kim Ray of Bridgeville and Susie Ray of Trap, Md.; and his two miniature Pinschers, Pepper and Naomie.

Burial will be held Thursday, June 2, at 11:30 a.m., at the Bridgeville Cemetery, Market and Laws streets, Bridgeville. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Hardesty Chapel, Bridgeville.
