Thomas Michael Singel, family man
Thomas Michael Singel, 84, of Lewes, passed away after a brave battle with pancreatic cancer Sunday, June 25, 2023, at his home. He was born Jan. 21, 1939, in Franklin Borough, Pa., son of the late Frank and Mary Singel.
Thomas built a career as a systems engineer in aerospace engineering, lending his expertise to such institutions as Honeywell from 1964-89 and Lockheed Martin, beginning in 1989 and retiring in 2002. He was a proud veteran having honorably served in the U.S. Air Force from 1959-63.

He was a member of the Carpatho-Rusyn Society, a group sharing the history, language, genealogy, and culture of the Rusyn people, an Eastern Slavic people who lived for more than a thousand years in the foothills and valleys of the Carpathian Mountains of East Central Europe.
Thomas was a family man. Above all, he cherished time spent with those he held most dear. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Loved by many, he will be forever missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his sister, Eleanor Weir and her husband Jim.
