Thompson Island dining to benefit local PEO chapter Sept. 26

A dine-and-donate event to benefit the Rehoboth Beach chapter of P.E.O. will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 26, at Thompson Island Brewing Co., 30133 Veterans Way, Rehoboth Beach.

P.E.O. is a philanthropic educational organization where women celebrate the advancement of women; educate women through scholarships, grants, awards, loans and stewardship of Cottey College; and motivate women to achieve their highest aspirations. P.E.O. has helped more than 122,000 women pursue educational goals by providing nearly $415 million in educational assistance over the course of 150-plus years, including many women from Delaware.

“This event is a wonderful opportunity for all of us to make a positive difference in the lives of women, their families and the community while enjoying a delicious meal at the same time,” said Susan Donahue, Chapter N president.

SoDel Concepts will donate a portion of every Sept. 26 Thompson Island patron’s bill (eat-in or takeout), to Chapter N, P.E.O. As with every P.E.O. fundraiser, 100% of monies raised will be distributed to qualified applicants in the form of grants or low-interest loans.
