Delaware State Police arrested three people at Wawa in Lewes May 29 on weapons and drug charges after police say the trio were involved in gunshots fired in Milton.

Police say a trooper saw a white 2001 Cadillac DeVille at the Lewes Wawa, noticing this same car was reported as being involved in gunshots fired in the Milton area. The car was reported as driving recklessly on southbound Route 1 after the shots were fired.

Upon approaching the car, the trooper noticed the front passenger, Samuel Mondestin, 19, of Seaford, had a handgun on his lap.
