Tony Hughes, kind, loving man
Tony Hughes, 68, of Millsboro, affectionately known as “Super Fly” by family and friends, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2024, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes.
Born March 9, 1955, Tony was the adopted son of the late Martin and Meredith Morris. An alumnus of Cape Henlopen High School, Tony was known for his kind and loving soul. He enjoyed watching baseball on TV and attending car shows. He also loved to play the guitar and enjoyed spending time with friends and family.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Meredith Morris. He is survived by his daughter, Michele Bailey of Millsboro; a son, Anthony Hughes of Lewes; and three grandchildren, Mikayla, Mya and Tyler Bailey, all of Millsboro. He also leaves behind a brother, Harvey Pierce (Bonnie) of New Jersey; and a host of other family and friends.
Tony’s life will be remembered and cherished by everyone who knew him.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, Jan. 26, at Watson Funeral Home & Crematorium, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, where a visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Pastor Annie Jane Custis will officiate. Interment will be private.
