It’s not often that two major projects requiring steel workers occur in Lewes at the same time.
Crews are working on a new Cape Henlopen School District elementary school along Savannah Road and are also making progress on The Lodge at Historic Lewes senior living facility along Kings Highway.
The former Lewes School is undergoing major renovation and expansion to house K-5 students from nearby Shields Elementary School, which will be torn down to make way for a new middle school.
Almost like being in a giant Erector Set, steel workers climb through the maze of beams at The Lodge at Historic Lewes construction site.
