UD policy scientist to discuss workforce housing solutions Feb. 15
The Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce will hold a general membership luncheon at 12 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 15, at Rehoboth Ale House on the Mile near Rehoboth Beach.
Guest speaker will be Sean O’Neill from the University of Delaware, a policy scientist at the Institute for Public Administration within the Biden School of Public Policy & Administration. He will discuss potential solutions for the workforce housing issue facing Sussex County. The housing market has become less affordable than at any time in recent memory, particularly for renters and first-time home buyers. O’Neill will examine what are the causes of this crisis, and how is it impacting businesses and local economies? What can communities do to help address the current housing crisis?
The cost is $20 per person including gratuity for buffet lunch and beverage of iced tea or soft drink.
