Vanessa Patricia Satchell, loved her family

Vanessa Patricia (Small) Satchell gained her wings Friday, Sept. 15, 2023. She was born Sept. 11, 1956.
Her joy in life was her family, especially eating Sunday dinner at her sister's or a game of spades. She was quiet and a very humble person. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, reading, and going to the slots.
She is survived by two sons, Ruben D. Satchell and Bruce Satchell (Natalie), both of Cool Spring; brothers, Fredrick Harvey of Milton, John Small (Lisa) of Seaford, and Ronald Small (Greg) of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; a sister, Diane Beckett (Otha) of Cool Spring; along with a host of nieces and nephews; adopted grandsons, Donnell Hitchens and Alkeen Hitchens; and a very special friend, Lionell Williams (Fox). She is preceded in death by her parents, Fredrick Small and Susie G. Waples; husband, Ruben E. Satchell Jr.; and brothers, Edward Brittingham and Franklin Harris. She will be greatly missed by all.
At her request, there will be no service. A memorial in her remembrance will be held at a later date.
